If food, nutrition and dietetics are part of your profession, then policy should be your passion.

The Missouri State Academy's 1300 dietetics professionals are affected by public policy in many ways — and there are many opportunities to participate in the legislative process, both in Missouri and in Washington, DC.

Advocacy versus Lobbying

Advocacy serves to educate lawmakers and policy-makers about issues. Lobbying involves attempts to influence specific legislation. MOAND both advocates and lobbies for policies that benefit members and the health of all Missourians.
