Involves teaching a variety of online and face to face graduate (including courses in the Future Education Model (FEM) should it be approved to move from the current candidacy status to an accredited program) and undergraduate courses in the Nutrition curriculum. Upon approval of FEM engage/support Student Experiential Learning (SEL) activities. There is expectation that all UCM faculty participate in scholarly activity and professional service for tenure and promotion.
Applicants must have an earned Doctorate in Nutritional Sciences, Dietetics, or in a closely related field (e.g., Biochemistry, Food Service Management) at the time of appointment. Applications from those who are ABD, with a guarantee of completion prior to hire, will be accepted, but preference will be given to those with a completed doctorate. Applicants must have a current Registered Dietitian credential at the time of appointment.
1. Demonstration of effective teaching at the collegiate level using multi-modes of delivery (e.g., online, hybrid, face-to-face)
2. Evidence of ability to lead, support, and/or manage duties related to ACEND accreditation
3. Evidence of scholarly activity (e.g., publications, student mentorship, conference presentations, grant writing) commensurate with education or place(s) of employment
