Northwest Region Service Event in Columbia

Join MOAND NW Region on November 13th from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at the Food Bank for Central and Northeast Missouri to help fight hunger in our community! Volunteers will assist with sorting, packing, and organizing food donations for local families in need. This hands-on event is a great way to give back, connect with others, and support the Food Bank’s mission to ensure everyone has access to nutritious meals.

Join us and other volunteers at our main facility on Vandiver Drive to sort and package food for distribution. The food that is prepared will be distributed to partner agencies or through one of our programs.

Volunteer tasks will include:

Sorting through food donations

Repacking and relabeling food

Assembling boxes of food (including Senior Boxes, VIP Veteran Boxes, and Produce Boxes)

Volunteer Requirements:

Ages 12 and older

Ability to lift over 30 pound boxes

Able to follow all safety and food safety instructions

All Volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes, clothing that covers their shoulders, and a hair net. Hair nets will be provided.
