St. Louis has many fine college and university programs that provide courses for Dietetic Technicians and Dietitians at the beginning levels as well as at advanced levels. St. Louis University Department of Dietetics and Nutrition
The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (DVAMC) has a dietetic internship program in St. Louis.They offer a 43-week internship, which begins in August wand ends in June. The internship is a generalist program with rotations in management, clinical, and community settings. Each year the DVAMC accepts 6 interns. There is no fee for the program. A stipend of approximately $10,000 is paid to each intern throughout the course of the internship.
