The Nutrition Educator develops, delivers and evaluates dairy education programs in an assigned MO/IL territory. She/he establishes and maintains relationships with educators, health professionals and consumers through personal contacts, group presentations, exhibits and use of mass media. She/he serves as spokesperson for local dairy industry. Full time position requires regular travel, occasional overnight/weekend events and is based in St. Louis headquarters office . No phone calls please.
5-7 years professional experience in nutrition/health education. Must possess: Strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills. The ability to build personal relationships to grow support for dairy foods/ industry. Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Willingness to learn and share ideas with others in a team environment. The ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. The desire to take initiative in team-based approach. Travel required.
School nutrition management experience/knowledge desired. Experience/knowledge of K-12 education arena desired. Agriculture education background desired. Public relations/experience working with the media (traditional and social) a plus.
